  • Fácil adaptación a líneas existentes
  • Bajo mantenimiento

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is descaling equipment needed before drawing?

Incoming hot rolled wire carries scale, and drawing that scale through a die wears the die bore unevenly and drags broken scale into the lubricant where it scratches the wire. Descaling ahead of the drawing machine is one of the most effective ways to extend die life.

What is the difference between peeling and descaling?

Peeling removes the surface layer mechanically with blades or wheels, taking off scale and surface defects together. Descaling generally refers to removing oxide scale, which can be done mechanically, by sand belt or by other means. Peeling removes more material but leaves a cleaner surface.

What is a pointing machine for?

A pointing machine forms a tapered point on the wire end so it can be threaded through the first drawing die. Without a point, the wire cannot be started through the die. Rotary and hydraulic pointing machines cover different diameter ranges.

Why is boronization coating necessary?

The carrier coating holds lubricant to the wire surface during drawing. Dry lubricant alone does not stay on the wire at the pressure and temperature inside a die, so the coating is what keeps the lubricant film intact.

Can these machines be added to an existing line?

Yes. Descaling, pointing and coating equipment can be supplied to match an existing drawing machine. Give us the wire diameter range and line speed so the auxiliary equipment is sized correctly.

How much floor space does the equipment need?

It depends on the machine and whether it is in-line or standalone. Dimensions are stated in the specification for each unit, and we can advise on layout once we know your line arrangement.
