Overview

The gantry type version of the LDD series uses a portal frame structure to accommodate very large capstans and heavy wire coils. It provides excellent rigidity for drawing large-diameter rod where vibration and frame deflection would otherwise affect wire quality.

Key Features

  • Gantry (portal) frame for maximum rigidity
  • Handles the heaviest wire rod coils
  • Same drawing range as standard LDD series
  • Integrated safety guarding
  • Custom voltage available for destination country

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose the right wire drawing machine?

It comes down to inlet diameter, finished diameter, material and target output. A machine is defined by what goes in and what comes out; the number of dies has to match the total reduction you need. Send us those four details and we will confirm which series fits.

Can the machine be built for our voltage?

Yes. Machines are configured for your site supply. Tell us the voltage, phase and frequency before production starts, because a machine built for 380 V / 50 Hz will not run on 440 V / 60 Hz without changing motors and drives.

What is the lead time and how is it shipped?

Lead time is counted from the date the deposit clears and the specification is confirmed. Machines are packed for sea freight using export-grade packing. Quotations are usually issued on FOB or CIF terms, and both are stated in writing.

Are drawing dies included?

Dies are consumable and are usually quoted separately. If a quotation mentions dies without stating how many or of what grade, ask before you compare prices, because die specification changes the cost significantly.

What spare parts are available and for how long?

We supply spare and wear parts for the machines we sell, generally for at least 5 years after the model is supplied. Quote the model and machine serial number when ordering so compatibility can be confirmed.

What does the warranty cover?

12 months from arrival at the destination port, covering manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal operating conditions. Consumable parts such as dies, belts, bearings and seals are excluded.
